Cape Verde
Situated south of the Canary Islands, off the western coast of Africa, Cape Verde comprises ten islands surrounded by the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean.  Discovered by the Portuguese over 500 years ago, the islands have grown to a population of approximately 450,000.

Each of the islands has a special appeal with Boa Vista being regarded as perhaps the most attractive. The beaches are spectacular and extensive, the ocean is clear blue and when combined with a warm dry climate you have the ideal combination for a relaxing lifestyle break – long or short.

The island interiors in Cape Verde vary. From the lush almost tropical forests of San Antão to the arid desert interior of Sal there is a landscape that offers great intrigue and opportunities to explore. Boa Vista presents an interesting mix of rolling mountain ranges, rugged interiors and the occasional oasis. Each of the islands offers something special and all are largely unexplored by the traditional European holiday maker.

As you might expect, dining out is a laid back experience and allows you to be at one with the Cape Verdean approach to life – unhurried, relaxed, friendly and hospitable. Your island experience will be welcoming and enjoyable.

Pristine white beaches, a warm turquoise sea, year-round sunshine, lively street carnivals... No, we’re not talking about the Caribbean, Hawaii or Brazil, but Cape Verde.  Cape Verde is an archipelago of ten islands lying like a jeweled necklace off the coast of West Africa. With only a five and a half hour flying time from the UK and Ireland, this is a tropical paradise not to be missed.
